Welcome to the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at Technical University of Mombasa. 

At the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, we believe, initiation into principled leadership is a function of Humanities and Social Sciences.  Studying any of our disciplines proffers the opportunity to appreciate the immeasurable wealth and diversity of the human experience.  Knowledge entrenched in humanities and social sciences, empowers one to think critically and creatively about the world around you, solve the challenging problems facing humanity, and act nobly on behalf of something greater than yourself.  It will foster creative expression, intellectual curiosity and meaningful interaction with people from various cultural backgrounds. No doubt, taking any one of our disciplines, will transform your mind and worldview making you the person and leader of your dreams, and follow a path toward brighter future and fulfilment

Whether in our classrooms, kitchen, or media studios, at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences, we shall equip you with the critical skills that will energise your resilience in every circumstance of your unpredictable future and a fulfilling career. For a career to be gratifying, it must also be a vocation; a reflection of deep-rooted desire to improve things and transform lives. This is a guiding factor in our approach to training our undergraduate and graduate students alike.

I am indeed honoured to serve this School as Dean, and dearly hold onto the belief our programs are the best preparation to face the challenges of the contemporary world. This passion is reflected in our faculty's approach to dealing with students and its kindness while guiding them. Guided by our Motto "Walking with you all the way," our talented and dedicated faculty offer individuated attention to students. It has also designed a rigorous curriculum meant to open your path to an adventurous career and grow you into a life-long learner.
